About the hotel

Built in 1826, this Regency-style hotel offers sea views from its premier position directly opposite Brighton pier.

The Royal Albion Hotel has rooms equipped with convenient facilities such as television, telephone, hairdryer and trouser press, with some rooms even boasting jacuzzi baths. The restaurant, lounge and bar all provide fabulous views of the English Channel and offer traditional food all day. The vibrant Bar Rogue stylishly serves food and drink, with great music at night.

The hotel is within easy reach of the major motorways links, with Gatwick Airport conveniently located a 30-minute drive away, or 45 minutes by train. Brighton railway station isn’t far and the main bus/coach station is just around the corner.

The Royal Albion Hotel has 8 function rooms that are elegantly furnished and suitable for up to 150 delegates, day or evening.

Discounted rates are offered for the nearby NCP car parking facility - ask at reception for details.

For guests with mobility problems, there is a ramp to the reception entrance, where there are double doors. There is an accessible lounge and toilet, with a lift to the lower ground floor. Accessible rooms and bathrooms are available. The restaurant, bar and most function rooms are totally accessible, with the Bar Rogue nightclub accessible via 3 steps.

From the North:
- Take the M23/A23 to its very end.
- Once in Brighton, you will see signposts for the seafront.
- When you see the Palace Pier, the hotel is directly opposite.

By Air:
Gatwick Airport (42 km/26 miles) is 30 minutes away by car and 45 minutes away by train. Buses from Heathrow Airport are available, stopping at Brighton's main bus/coach terminus, which is just around the corner from the hotel.

By Rail:
Brighton railway station is 2.4 km (1.5 miles) from the hotel. There are 2 services per hour to London Victoria, with a journey time of just 49 minutes.

By Ferry:
Cross channel services from Dieppe to Newhaven are available. Newhaven is 16 km (10 miles) east of Brighton on the A259. Buses run from here to Brighton every 15 minutes.

Parking:
Due to the hotel's central location, car parking in the vicinity is at a premium. Vouchers, enabling parking adjacent to the hotel and in the surrounding area, are available from reception and local retail outlets (at an additional cost).

Free parking is available every day between 18:00 and 09:00 at Regency Mews. From the roundabout, drive west on the seafront (with the sea on your left) and turn right at the 4th set of traffic lights.

A council-operated car park is available at The Lanes. From the roundabout, drive west on the seafront (with the sea on your left) and turn right at 1st set of traffic lights. The car park is located straight ahead (this is a 5-minute walk from the hotel, located under The Thistle in Black Lion Street).
